Well, today we’ve been tasked to create a ‘concrete’ poem using the prompt ‘Animal’ and enjambment. Concrete poems use the words to make the shape of the subject or just as a visual nudge. I’ve had a bit of a giggle fiddling and twiddling in Word to try and achieve the desired effect. Its a bit short and sweet, but I think it worked ok (for a first attempt anyway 😉 )…can you tell what it is?
SILVER SURFER
It’s a wave!!! Seriously how do you do this? I simply don’t have the expertise to fiddle with coding its enough to write a poem, is there some programme that does this? lol
I cheated….Just used tab and spacing to create the shape then took a screenshot of the poem, pasted into a blank word doc, saved it as a picture, cropped it using a photo editor, and then used it as a media file in the post. Ummmmm…..it’s a snail
oh no sorry hah i thought it was a wave, lol, oops keeps my mouth shut, well it was very good and ingenius. I did try today, i probably ended up doing soething sort of similar to yours in that i fiddled iwth word etc x
Hehe… I’ve gone for the ‘it’s whatever you think it is option!!
lol
And I thought it was a shark, swimming. Well done!
Hehee….I think I’d better just say it can be anything anyone wants it to be!!
Anything that is open for interpretation is a great work.
