Today’s challenge is to write a Haiku on the subject of water using similie. I’ve written three on the same theme. I know which I think is best, but it would be lovely if you’d let me know which you favourite!
The spectre of death
Hovers over the village
Without fresh water
——————————————————–
Where fresh water runs
The dark sponge of long-dry soil
Turns to abundance

Excellent. All the three are interlinked and each to its perfection! Wonderful.. 🙂
Oh thank you! I’m so glad you liked them.
They are all very good. I think I like the middle the best 🙂
All three are wonderful but my favorite is the second one.
All three are beautifully written. I love the second ‘cos of the ‘life’ and hope it gives
Really interesting and poignant.
I like the second one also. Good job!
Thanks Kathy! Don’t tell anyone, but that’s the one I think works best too!
I guess that I am an outlier, for I prefer the last one.
I keep changing my mind! Glad you liked it!
I like the last two. They are more in the moment.
Thanks Lori, I think you may be right! 😀
I liked the first best
Thanks Michelle. Gosh, it seems ages ago since day 1 😊
Yes it does. I had never heard of some of these forms. I really enjoyed the found poetry assignment
Yes, some were new to me too. It’s great when you start off thinking you’ll never be able to write anything, then somehow you manage something! It’s been lovely seeing everyone else’s too!
